Viva Village Office

The office has been furnished and set up with the basics.

With a big thank you to several generous benefactors for some key equipment, Viva Village now has an office where we can and are working!

Already it's been used for volunteer interviews, a governing council meeting, and more.

We have a phone number, though the office is not yet staffed with people to answer it. You can call and leave a message if you like.

A REMINDER: Vetted Vendor List

Send your favorite business recommendations!

All Vetted Vendors must be referred by a Village volunteer or member.

Send in the names of businesses that you or a family member have used and would recommend. Volunteers from the Vetted Vendors team will contact them.

Send us 1) the business name, 2) a contact person if you have one, 3) a contact number, and 4) why you recommend the business.

How to Become a Viva Village Member

Our Village 101 (an informational gathering) is a perfect way to learn more about Viva Village and how a membership can benefit you. The next one is scheduled for Thursday, August 11.

You will be contacted to schedule an in-home interview with two members of the membership team. We can get to know you better and discuss how Viva Village can benefit you.

The membership team will conduct member interviews starting in August and September. The number of memberships are limited for the October Pilot Launch. All other memberships will begin in early January 2017, and beyond.

How to Become a Viva Village Volunteer

Contact Viva Village at vivavillagevolunteer@gmail.com to receive a volunteer application, and, if you’d like to be a driver, a Ride Connection application. Vol. hanging basket

Members of the volunteer team will meet with you to get to know you and to discuss how you’d like to volunteer for Viva Village.

To ensure the safety of our members, all volunteers will have their references checked and must complete a background check through Verified Volunteers. Once your application has been received you will be given instructions on how to do this.

A Volunteer Training is required. Trainings are scheduled Sunday, August 7, Wednesday August 25, Monday, September 12, and Wednesday, September 21.

Volunteer applications are being accepted now for volunteers for the Pilot project.
