IMPORTANT NEWS!
From today on you buy tickets for the 2016 Christmas Beer Festival on December 17 &18 !
Dear Christmas Beer enthusiast,
It may feel quite early for you to think about Christmas Beer, but hey the same counts for us. Anyway, someone’s got to do it, so I seem to be the one to tell you to mark you calendar on December 17 & 18 for the 22nd Christmas Beer Festival. We’ll be using the same system as last year, so that means online ticket sales only. From today on tickets are available, so be quick because when they’re gone, they’re gone.
You can buy your tickets online at http://www.ticketgang.be/event.php?key=24147&lng=eng . You buy one ticket per person per day. You can buy only 4 tickets at once. This to avoid a person buying a whole lot of tickets at one go.
Anyone who wants to come on both days will need to buy two tickets. Because we need to keep a check on the numbers in the hall, nominated drivers will also be required to buy a ticket. Children under the age of 16 will not have to pay for a ticket but of course, they will not be served any beer.
Allowing entry to the Festival between 1.30pm and 11.00pm on Saturday or between 12.00 midday and 7.00pm on Sunday respectively, a maximum of 900 tickets will be made available for each day. Simply select the day or days on which you wish to come. To offer local residents without tickets a last minute chance to visit the Festival we are allowing free entry on Saturday evening between 7.00pm and 11.00pm. (This doesn’t mean that people with tickets should leave the hall at 7.00pm)
The price of an entry ticket has been held at €20 though orders will attract a booking fee of €1.40. You will be able to pay with the most common creditcards. You don’t need to register for a Ticketgang account, just your name and e-mailadress should be fine. Included in the price are 7 beer tokens, a Festival glass, a Festival guide with full tasting notes and a token for small bottle of mineral water. Additional beer tokens may be purchased from the booths during the Festival at a cost of €1.80 each and any tokens you may have left over from last year will remain valid. The Festival glass is not returnable but to make it more of a collector’s item its design will change every year. The capacity will remain unaltered at 15cl with additional lines for 5cl and 7.5cl measures of the more expensive beers.
Once again, we must remind you that only Festival food and drink may be consumed on the premises. It will be clearly stated on the tickets that you are expressly forbidden from bringing your own refreshments into the Festival Hall and this is something which will be strictly enforced.
While understanding completely that this will obviously demand some forward planning on the part of our visitors, we sincerely believe that they will result in a much more pleasant Festival experience for not only you, our guests but also for our staff with better service and more space for everyone to enjoy the delicious Christmas Beers. And don’t forget, you can always guarantee your entry by offering to help us out as a Festival volunteer!
