Thanks for Coming!

July was an exciting month for Millennium Park with the dedication of two new developments to our largest county park. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate!

On July 6th, the Hansen Boardwalk Dedication took place. This 500ft boardwalk connects the Hansen Nature Trails to the main recreation core of the park by way of the Sandy Hansen Shoreline trail loop. Thanks to all who came out to celebrate, and special thanks to the Hansen Family for making this beautiful boardwalk possible.
On July 28th, The Meadows at Millennium Park was dedicated, officially opening the 50-acre addition that features the William F. Grant Pavilion, the Currie Family Amphitheater, and the Employees of Universal Products Boardwalk! The Meadows also connects to existing park trails and hosts an expansive lawn for events. Thanks to all who came out to celebrate, and special thanks for Mr. Peter Secchia for making The Meadows possible!

Project Johnson

KCPF is teaming up with the Grand Rapids Disc Golfers Unite club (GRDGU) to raise money for renovations to Johnson Park's disc golf course with Project Johnson.

Project Johnson is a crowdfunding effort to raise the money to replace all 18 holes and tee pads as well as install trash cans throughout the course. You can help by donating to our Razoo campaign and receive cool perks and exclusive merchandise for your support. You can also participate in the Project Johnson Fundraiser Tournament this October. More information about this singles tournament hosted by Flight Risk Disc Golf Club can be found here or on our events page.

Project Johnson promotes activity in the community and the care of our parks. Renovating the disc golf course will provide a clean, fresh space for a sport for all ages and skill levels. Get ready to go discin'!
Thanks to your continued support, we can all enjoy the health, environmental, social, and economic benefits parks offer.
