The Quad City Botanical Center in Rock Island has quite a few volunteer openings Gardens
Weed Warriors wanted - please join us in the never ending battle against weeds that just won't die! Great for stress management and releasing pent up energy - work alongside our garden team, learn as you go and help keep our gardens beautiful! Shifts are Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. - Noon and 1-4 p.m.; other time slots can be accommodated. Be sure to dress according to the weather and wear closed-toe shoes for safety. We have the tools-we just need you!
Admissions & Gift Shop
Our gift shop is seeking a cashier for Monday mornings from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The front desk is a great place to meet new people from all over the country, as well as your own backyard. Tasks include welcoming guests and taking admission and gift shop payments. Full training will be provided. Timeslot can be filled once a month or as often as you like.
Education
Our education department is seeking individuals comfortable giving presentations, learning programs, and giving tours for school groups or adult programming. We are in special need of Sunday afternoon educational leaders the first Sunday of every month to help facilitate children's activities and crafts.
August 7, 1-3 p.m.: Sunday Funday Family programming
July 31, 1-3 p.m.: Mississippi Madness, learning about the river
Special Events
Little Conductors Day is Sunday, August 14, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., and we need 5 volunteers to help with kids crafts.

New bell ringers are encouraged to join the Bell Choir. If the group (which practices Thursday mornings at CASI)
