Do you know what kind of caterpillars these are? They are monarch butterfly caterpillars, and they need your help to survive! Did you know our staff member, Rhonda Brady, is a monarch expert? If you have any questions about what you can do to help with the survival of this species, call Rhonda at 309-737-3073.

And if any of the activities below interest you--or if you'd like to discuss starting up new activities that aren't mentioned, call  309-737-3073 (Knox/Warren) or 309-793-4425 (QCA).

Weed Warriors wanted - please join us in the never ending battle against weeds that just won't die!  Great for stress management and releasing pent up energy - work alongside our garden team, learn as you go and help keep our gardens beautiful! Shifts are Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. - Noon and 1-4 p.m.; other time slots can be accommodated. Be sure to dress according to the weather and wear closed-toe shoes for safety.  We have the tools-we just need you!

Our gift shop is seeking a cashier for Monday mornings from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The front desk is a great place to meet new people from all over the country, as well as your own backyard. Silver Linings Bell Choir performs on Thursday afternoons throughout the summer. You are welcome to join the audience at these free concerts:

Thursday, Aug. 4th 1:15 p.m., Iowa Masonic Home, Bettendorf
Thursday, Aug. 11th, 2:00 p.m., Davenport Lutheran Home

New bell ringers are encouraged to join the Bell Choir. If the group (which practices Thursday mornings at CASI)
gets a few more players, they can add an entire octave of bells to their arrangements! Plus, this is a great group with a great sound! Listen to a bit of one of their rehearsals--click HERE!
