On Kevin Pillar bobblehead day, the 27-year-old went 1-for-3 and made a couple nice plays in the field. Before the game, Pillar was presented with his Wilson Defensive Player of the Year award, and his father and brother threw out the first pitches.

Milwaukee LF Ryan Braun singled, doubled, and stole two bases in a 6-5 loss to the Cubs. It was the 15th time Braun has stolen two or more bases in a game; he accomplished the feat three times in 2015, when he finished the season with 24 thefts.

Dodgers CF Joc Pederson reached base four times and stole a base in a 9-6 win over the Cardinals. Pederson singled twice and drew two walks.

Oakland's Danny Valencia went 1-for-4 in a 3-2 win over Tampa Bay. Valencia started in right field for the first time this season and only the second time in his seven-year MLB career.

Detroit 2B Ian Kinsler doubled and walked in a 4-3 loss to the White Sox.

Reliever Scott Feldman pitched two scoreless innings in a 13-3 win over the Angels. Feldman yielded 2 hits and no walks while lowering his ERA to 2.40, third best on the team.

Reliever Richard Bleier did not play in the Yankees' 5-2 win over San Francisco.
