WANTED: More Scottish Rite Degrees

Jewel of the Scottish Rite's 20th Degree, Master of the Symbolic LodgeBirmingham Valley Exemplifies 20th Degree for First Time in More Than a Decade

During the regular stated meeting of the Birmingham Valley Scottish Rite on July 13, the brethren took another step on the road to fulfilling our VMAP commitment to improve our members experience*.

On this special evening, the brethren added another degree option to our arsenal with the first exemplification of the 20th Degree, Master of the Symbolic Lodge, in well over a decade. The first candidate to be the exemplar for this newly restored degree was Hon. Greg Durr, Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Alabama F.&A.M.

The Valley is actively working towards building additional quality degree teams with the 7th and 22nd Degrees being added to the Fall Reunion and a tentative goal of adding the 9th, 10th, and 11th Degrees to the Spring 2017 Reunion.

*VMAP Area 9A (Degree Conferral Proficiency), tasks Valleys with adding one new Degree at each reunion.
