Hello Friends and Happy
Summer to you!

It has been many months since I sent my last newsletter. In fact, it has been almost two years! In that time, I have created many fun spun cotton pieces both for Halloween and Christmas. And this year will prove to be another creative one!

Even though our temperatures here in Florida are consistently in the 90s, I am dreaming of orange and yellow leaves, cool fall breezes and getting ready for the coming holidays. Currently, I am focusing on creating Halloween pieces for several fall events:

Halloween Blog Sale, Sunday, Sept. 18
For my collector friends near and far, I have planned an online blog sale in addition to offering items in my Etsy shop. These will be special pieces so tune in. I will be sending a follow-up with more information, or check my Facebook fan page for photos of works-in-progress (WIPs) and news:

Friday and Saturday, Sept. 30 & Oct. 1
I will again be participating in Spirits in Sanford, Friday, September 30, 6 pm - 9 pm, and Saturday, October 1, 9 am - 3 pm. If you like to dress up for Halloween, then you don't want to miss the Friday evening Champagne Preview & Costume Party. It is a hoot every year and you Spirits in Sanford Show Badgeget first pick of the art from the talented artists there. Add the fact that gourmet hors d'oeuvres and bubbly are served AND you get in to the Saturday show, the price of $20 is a steal!

Of course, if you can't make the Friday evening event, Saturday's show is only $5 and always full of wonderful Halloween art. You can browse all day long, if you like, or shop a little have some lunch and return to shop some more!

St. Augustine, FL Trunk Show Mid-September - TBA
And for those of you close to St. Augustine, I am planning a trunk show for mid-September. I am still working out the details, and I will make an announcement on my Facebook page as soon as it is finalized!

SadSpun Cotton Black Cat in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/454036340/spun-cotton-black-cat-victorian-inspiredly, this year I am unable to participate in Halloween & Vine in September. But I hope that many of my collector friends will still get a chance to purchase from me either through my etsy shopmy Sept. 18 blog sale or on eBay.

Speaking of Etsy, the spun cotton black cat and pumpkins pictured left are available in my Etsy shop! You can simply click on the picture to be taken to the listing and read all about the details. Happy shopping!

Enjoy what remains of your summer!

I will leave you with a couple photos from our recent travels to Europe, namely the Czech Republic, Germany, France and England. (It was a fab river cruise!!) And, since the theme of this newsletter is fall and Halloween, I will share photos from our visit to an ossuary. We called it the bone church in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic. The bones of 30,000 people were used in these intricate designs. They were dug up and used by the church because the families of the deceased couldn't keep up payments to the church for their burial plots. Talk about macabre!

Hope your summer travels take you to interesting places too!
