Where Is Your Treasure?
Money affects your heart. Whether you are in plenty or in want, money has a direct connection to your stress level, your anxiety, and the health of your relationships. It is no wonder, then, that Jesus talked about the relationship between our treasure and our hearts.
For a four-week period beginning August 7th, we will look at the many ways that our treasure (time, energy, money) affects our spiritual and emotional lives.

Join us in worship starting this Sunday as we begin our new sermon series called Treasure. We will explore Matthew 6 and Jesus’ teachings on money, giving, worry, and more.
At the end of the four weeks, we will have an opportunity to make personal commitments of our offerings to God through our church in the coming year. We will receive commitment cards in the mail, and cards will be available on Sunday mornings. We will bring these commitment cards to worship on Sunday, August 28th followed by a luncheon.
We hope that you’ll join us in the coming weeks as we look at Jesus’ teaching on how we can avoid freedom from some of the common pitfalls related to money, and how we can give our lives and our treasure to God.
You can participate through a daily devotional books, as well as in Sunday School, and Worship.

What's Happening
at "the Place"?
Getting ready for the Final Building Inspection. We are getting ready to complete the handicapped ramps and parking in place. This includes signage (which we have) mounted on posts and striping the ADA parking spaces.

Unfortunately we ran out of paving stones for both the patio w/ ADA ramp on SW corner and for the parking spaces on Lake Street. These were supposed to be in Pasco, WA this Monday (7/25) and the Martins went to pick them up Tuesday. Completion of these tasks was scheduled as likely be on Wednesday.
A pick-up truck load of plants was donated via Robin/Magic Garden from the Divide Camp and are being planted primarily along the new entry walkway. Magic Garden has partnered with Divide Camp for several years now and provided produce for their use. David C. is planning to custom cut paving stones to finish off edges of walkways and patios to fill out odd gaps, etc.
The fire suppression system gets its final inspection this Wednesday (7/27). Regarding funding, several donations have been pledged for part of the paving stones. Still to be funded is Johnny Gibson's final grading and work on walkway and patio layout. Still waiting completion is surveyor Tom's completion of laying out all church property corner markers; Larry Abell is coordinating with Tom.
Lastly, there are several small tasks to be completed in the kitchen area, and we should be able to complete this building project! It is looking like the project may not need a mortgage loan or a very small one at best.
