We are excited to announce that plans are well underway for Saxapahaw Island Park, the newest park in the Alamance Parks and Haw River Trail system, slated to open in 2017. In just a few weeks, we will celebrate the last days of summer with the Preserving Our Heritage Festival, our largest event of the year. This year we're excited to add Pelican's Sno Balls and face painting to our usual festival offerings. Youth football season is set to begin soon, starting with our Coaches' Informational Meeting on August 4th.

A quick operational note- Alamance Parks and Haw River Trail accesses will be switching to fall hours at the end of August. From September 1 - October 31, Cedarock Park will close at 8pm and Alamance County-operated HRT accesses will close at 7pm.
