MBA(CHINA) ALUMNI CELEBRATE HKBU 60TH ANNIVERSARY IN GUANGZHOU

The School of Business of Hong Kong Baptist University, HKBU Alumni Affairs Office and MBA (China) Alumni Association co-organised a gala dinner at Guangzhou Yihe Hotel, with participation from over 300 MBA China alumni, faculty staff, scholars and important guests. Alumni from Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Foshan and Shanghai across many generations gathered together, in celebration of the HKBU diamond jubilee.

President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Roland Chin thanked different generations of China MBA alumni for their ardent support. Taking this opportunity, President Chin also called for their continued support in the future alumni activities, and most importantly, to support our students in providing mentoring and internship opportunities.

DR. RUIXIN WANG WINS BEST PAPER AWARD
Dr. Ruixin Wang, Research Assistant Professor of the Department of Economics, won the Best Paper Award in the China Labor Economist Forum, held in Changsha, China from 4 to 5 Jul 2016. The award winning paper explores the logic behind the surprisingly high gift expenses in China.
MIS RESEARCH WORKSHOP TO FACILITATE PAPER DEVELOPMENT
The Department of Finance and Decision Sciences organised the Management Information System (MIS) Research Workshop on 8 Jul. It aimed at facilitating the discussion and development of research papers on MIS related topics.
SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADVISORY COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN AWARDED SILVER BAUHINIA STAR
Mr. William Leung, BBS, JP, Chairman of the School of Business Advisory Committee, was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 1 Jul for his distinguished contribution to the community.
