Volunteer Caregivers Needed!

Volunteer caregivers are needed to love, hold and care for the children of our local MOPS chapter in a church nursery setting.  Committment would include volunteering from 8:45 - 11 am, the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month, September thru May, at Christ the King.  MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a Christian ministry that seeks to connect moms all over the world to a community of women in their own neighborhood who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood.  MOPPETS, the volunteer caregiver program for our children during MOPS meetings, is an invaluable ministry to the attending moms.  Your time and service to our children provides the mothers of our local community to foster relationships based in faith promoting fellowship, support, and personal development to become the best version of ourselves to better serve our families and community.  Please contact our Caregiver Coordinator Megan Diering at 336-307-6055 if you are interested, or talk with Sara Pollmann or Andy Koenig if you have any questions.

Common Cup has asked us to donate these items by the second week in August:  sprial notebooks, glue sticks, pencil boxes/bags.  Backpacks are also needed, but all churches are going to be collecting them as they are more expensive.  If you are moved to purchase a backpack or two, it is most welcome.  A box will be at worship each Sunday to collect these items.  Call Andy Koenig at 320-587-9052 if you have questions.

Membership Transfers

We're making it easy to transfer your membership to River of Hope.  Pick up a pre-stamped postcard at the Connect Table, or have Pam fill one our for you in the office, and send it to your former church.  If you've already transferred your membership, and St. Paul's Lutheran in Stewart is "holding" it for us, you don't need to do a thing.  They will all get sent to us.
Finanacially support the ministry of River of Hope!
The church exists through your faithful giving.

These groups will resume in the fall:

What the Word?, Men's Bible Study, Women of Hope, 55+Diners, Voices of Hope and riverKIDS

Who wants to read this book with me?  Written by one of my favorite seminary professors, a great summary of it is: "It is part commentary, part devotional, part sermon, part scholarship – all blended together into a delicious literary meal!" Would anyone be interested in reading this with me and meeting right after worship to talk about it?
I haven't read it yet, so am looking for people to discover it with me. No need to feel like you need to have answers or even the slightest idea about the book of Acts. Please let Pastor Laura know if you are interested. We'll meet at Caribou for an hour.
