On August 2, 2016, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM EDT, HUD will host a webinar for Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) 1, 2, and 3 grantees to provide guidance on how to use Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting (DRGR) reports to prepare for closeout. DRGR reconciliation has been a common obstacle to closing out NSP grants. Information in DRGR must be complete and reflect accurately what grantees have in their internal records because this information is what HUD and others use to assess grantee performance and compliance. DRGR reports are the key to identifying errors in DRGR that must be corrected. This webinar will provide guidance on key DRGR reports that are helpful to review, what grantees should look for in these reports to identify errors, and pointers for how to correct errors that are identified. While this webinar will not demonstrate the specific steps a grantee will take in DRGR to correct errors, it will show grantees how to use the reports as a tool to locate errors and will provide citations to DRGR resources that guide grantees in making the corrections needed. Grantee staff from the NSP program, as well as finance staff and those with DRGR roles, should attend. Time will be made for questions and answers.
Note that HUD is publishing bi-weekly expenditure reports and has established a mailbox at: nsp-questions@hud.gov for questions regarding NSP efforts.
Recent webinars that covered an Overview of NSP Closeout Efforts and the Program Income Transfer Notice and the Program Income Transfer Procedures and FAQs may be of interest to NSP grantees as well.
Also, please save the date for a future NSP webinar to be held August 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM EDT.
Please join us on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at 2:00 PM EDT.
Webinar materials will be posted to the HUD Exchange Training & Events page, as they become available.
