Join Waterstone Gallery for a panel discussion with Bob Hicks freelance arts writer (Oregon Arts Watch, former writer for the Oregonian), Shu- Ju Wang ( Waterstone Gallery Artist), and Christy Wyckoff (Artist, Curator, and PNCA Emeritus Professor). The panelists will discuss their motivations and interests in the art world.
This event marks the second in a series of art conversations on interpreting, understand and collecting presented by the members of the Portland Art Dealers Association.

 
Converge 45

Converge 45 is an annual multi-day event that showcases international, national and regional contemporary art. Situated in and around Portland, Oregon, a dynamic and expanding center for art, design and culture, Converge 45 is an opportunity for artists, collectors, curators, scholars and the public to take part in the unprecedented collaboration of Portland’s leading arts institutions, galleries and artist-run spaces.
In its inaugural year, Converge 45 offers a Visitors’ Weekend featuring dinners, exhibitions, conversations, performances and other activities.

Artists: Conduit, Tannaz Farsi, Ann Hamilton, David Horvitz, Kristan Kennedy, Heather Watkins, Weird Allan Kaprow, Ariana Jacob, Ellen Lesperance, Anna Gray, Ryan Wilson Paulsen and Nutmeg Elements Bridger.

July 29 - 31, 2016

Join The Art Gym at Marylhurst University as they present their first Summer Outdoor Project, I’m Going to Live the Life I Sing About in My Song, by Jen Delos Reyes. Reyes, inspired by her newly released book, I’m Going to Live the Life I Sing About in My Song: How Artists Make and Live Lives of Meaning, will serve cocktails in the dome during happy hour and will discuss the ideas in the book. Invited artists will also host events and talks each day, and on Sunday, July 31, Delos Reyes will do a reading from her book.

PADA Galleries: Seattle Art Fair

Ampersand and Open-Editions at Seattle Art Fair

Ampersand Gallery is partnering with San Francisco based Open-Editions to showcase several books published by Ampersand Editions at the Seattle Art Fair. The Open-Editions pop up at the fair with feature an assortment of titles published by Northwest publishers alongside artist-commissioned products and designer goods.

The Elizabeth Leach Gallery is proud to announce the release of Isaac Layman's Home Schooled  including an essay by Bob Nickas. Home Schooled presents the work of the Seattle based photographer in chronological order from undergraduate days up to Funeral, his 2013 exhibition at Elizabeth Leach Gallery.
