Seven Nights!

We're happy to report that our local Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (IHELP) is now being offered seven nights a week! Chalice will now be hosting on the first Saturday of each month. This program gives about twenty neighbors a hot meal and place to sleep each night. Participants in the program also work with a case manager to help them find permanent housing. Thanks to everyone who made January 3rd, our first night of Saturday hosting, a success!

Snow Weekend in Payson!

The East Valley Youth Group will head to Payson for a Snow Weekend, January 16-18. There will be food, movies, fun in the snow, games, fellowship with other youth and time for discussion about our faith. Meet at FCC Mesa at 4:30pm on Friday, January 16th; travelers are expected back at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 18th. The cost for the trip is $25.00; bring your permission slip, along with warm clothes (3 or 4 sets), coat, gloves, long pants, socks, boots or heavy shoes (no sandals), hats, scarves, sleeping bag and pillow, toiletries, and your Bible! In other words, if you need it for cold weather, bring it with you! Let Rev. Abigail know if you're coming. A chaperone or two are welcome as well!

It's Camp Time :)

Ok, not really. But it is time to think about camp! We'll be at Camp Pinerock in Prescott again this year, from May 31 through June 5. If you're interested in counseling, download an application here. They're due by February 1. If you have questions, feel free to ask! Jim Barton, Bill Carter and Rev. Abigail have all counseled at camps in Arizona and can probably answer your questions.

Messy Church is back!

We'll meet this Saturday at 5 p.m. for dinner, games, story, and fun of all sorts. All ages are welcome!

Bingo Night at Chalice! Join us on Saturday, January 24 at 6:30 p.m. for Bingo. We're looking for some additional prize donations. We'll be receiving donations for the event. If you have questions, contact Arline Stephens.

Welcoming Jay! Yes, we've welcomed Jay Willrett Pearson a few times now, but we'll be welcoming him more officially with a shower following worship on January 25.
