InDesign: Package Files for Handoff and Working with Tabs

The Package command ensures that all fonts and linked graphics are included with your InDesign file for handoff to a service provider. It also creates a customized report that includes all the information required to print the document. (Watch, 5 min)

One of the many things we see in our Prepress department when asked to change copy is text re-flow from tab settings. If you ever worked with a text processor you should be familiar of "Tabs". When you press the Tab (Tabulator) key the cursor is displaced to the next tab stop; this is particularly useful when you need to organize content in a document. This Quick Tip is an introduction to working with Tabs in InDesign. These same concepts can be applied to most software as well.
