Q: From/Work: Born and raised in Vancouver, a true Vancouverite. My residence is located in metropolitan Vancouver. I have a diverse portfolio: fashion stylist, media personality and event-marketing consultant.
Q: What inspires you to want to jump for joy?
A: Laughter, human connection and success all inspire me. I will often be laughing so hard that I start to jump up and down. I would have to say laughter is my greatest inspiration in jumping for joy. There is a scene from the movie, Michael with John Travolta in the back of a station wagon laughing hysterically and he states, “You gotta learn to laugh, it’s the way to true love”.
Q. Your experience doing jumping photos?
A: We did the shoot as part of the Global Glitterati Girls first adventure in partnership with Tourism Whistler, I was enthusiastic in celebrating having one of my ideas come to fruition. In that moment jumping, my experience was that of joy. The Global Glitterati community is defined by positive energy and influence, imparting a perfect collaboration.
Q: What inspires you in life?
A: Creativity and exploration of world and mind. I love traveling to a place where I’m a stranger to my environment allowing me the creativity of wonder that my energy attracts. It’s one of the most interesting and inspiring experiences that has contributed such insight into me.
Q: Your greatest passion?
A: I don’t know that there is one specific passion; it’s more about having passion for life. I try to only surround and engage myself with people and projects that I feel passionate about.
Q: Your driving force?
A: My family and love. I know from the bottom of my heart that I would not be the woman I am, nor would I have attempted to achieve this life, if I did not come from the family I have. My grandparents, parents, brother, aunts and cousin have been my biggest fans, and made me feel like I could have anything I wanted in life since I was born. When you have that kind of love and support you really believe the world is your oyster. My driving force comes from true love.
Q: Philosophy?
A: After going through a windshield at the age of 15, and then losing my brother in 2006, I live everyday as if the last. I will never compromise my happiness. My Dad’s best life advice; “What the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.”
Q: Anything in the world?
A: I want to create a currency of change in memory of my brother; ‘Take a Chance Karma Exchange’. It's part of the business plan for Global Glitterati.
Q. Working on?
A: I am currently working on my business plan for Global Glitterati with a group based out of San Diego. They are teaching me how to plan a ‘For Benefit’ enterprise structure, with the goal of gaining a ‘Gamechangers 500 badge’. www.gamechangers500.com
