A young boy was so excited to chose his Sweet Dream Bag, but when he saw the volunteer giving his mom an air mattress for him, he told the volunteer he was just so tired of sleeping on the floor every night--- now he had a mattress and all this bag of great things to make himself a great place to sleep!!  Sweet Dream is excited to have the opportunity to provide a way to keep these children off the cold floor.  It is because so many people have come forward and helped fund this part.  We are still looking for another supplier that will provide the air mattresses at a very low cost.  These simple things help these children sleep warmer and more comfortable!!!!  Thank you to all that have worked so hard to make this happen! 

So many people helping during the Holidays!

We have had so many individuals, neighborhoods, clubs, organizations and businesses that have made a special effort to support Sweet Dream and make it possible for us to continue to provide children with so little a place to call their very own and sleep comfortable and warm this holiday season!  We are so thankful for each and every person that has been touched and wants to help make a small change in these children's lives.  The more we serve the more we learn what an impact it is making in these children's lives---to have something they have chosen and to be able to call their own-- gives these children a sense of ownership and a little control in a situation that is so much out of their control.  We are making an impact within the entire family---giving them something so basic but so comforting! Sweet Dream was contacted to bring a Treasure Time to a new housing agency and the new director made the comment that the Sweet Dream Bags would probably we the only thing these children would be getting for Christmas -- it was mentioned at the the November Pack and Pray Event -- all of a sudden an entire Christmas Party with all the decorations (tree and all) had been planned -- families adopted the children and purchased their most wanted Christmas gifts -- a Christmas meal was provide by Olive Garden and served by many Home Schoolers and friends and with dessert and cookie decorating.  The children were able to make Christmas crafts while the parents went and picked up the wrapped Christmas gifts -- Perfect Teeth team members and Trader Joe's provided a Christmas Day fun bag for each family.  What an event!!!  See it just takes someone to mention a need and big things happen!!!!  What a blessing to see how happy these families were to have a real Christmas celebration.   We just want to thank everyone that took this need to heart and made the impossible happen!!!!
