science made simple present in Korea
In December, Gaz, Becca and Zoë flew around the world to Daegu, South Korea to present science shows all about sound, music and machines. They stopped off in the capital, Seoul, to deliver a science communication workshop.

The trio were taken out for dinner by the British Council and were treated to a traditional Korean meal. They loved it - but perhaps not sitting on the floor!
|

|
|
They presented to over 1000 Korean students, through simultaneous translation. The students loved the exciting demonstrations! Find out more about their experience, and see a clip of them perform on Korean television.

Science theatre takes Wales by storm!

The last few months has seen the team doing shows in South West Wales, busking at Retrofest and Swansea Marina, helping create a fun palace at the Wales Millennium Centre and chatting to Radio Wales on the Science Cafe show.

Humour and science?
When David isn't performing science shows, he's busy teaching other's how it's done. He recently lead a workshop on Spectacle, Humour and Performance Techniques in STEM education (science, technology, engineering and maths) at the Learning Outside the Classroom conference in Derby.

|
David, (2013 winner of the LOTC innovation award and session leader) says: "take a random (but rather lovely) group of STEM professionals and give them a crash course in our highly engaging, interactive and inspirational brand of science communication. They were begging, nay, pleading to have a go at it themselves! Great fun was had by all!"

Maths Show Success
Thanks to funding from the Welsh Government National Science Academy, we have been able to spread our love of maths across Wales!
|
|
|
|
From angles to graphs, estimation to statistics, our MathsApps show takes maths principles students learn in school and puts them in context in everyday life and the world of work. Feedback so far is very positive, with the majority of students saying they are more interested in maths after the show.
|
|
|
|
This Y7 student has learnt that 'there is maths in near enough everything' and has doubled her interest in maths after the show!
