Ladies' Night Out Huge Success
The Elko New Market Chamber of Commerce held its first Ladies Night Out on Friday, Dec. 5. Approximately 80 women of all ages began the evening at the Doublewide, where they received their passports and maps for their travels to seven locations in downtown New Market. Fourteen Chamber-member businesses participated in the evening with exhibits, food and drinks, goodies, special invitations and coupons. All of the women returned to the Doublewide for a free drink and to turn in their completed passports for the prize drawings. The four prize baskets were filled with gift certificates, wine, cash, bath items and more. The grand prize winner was Mary Ellen Flicek of Elko New Market, who was excited to give her newborn great grandchild a watercolor print donated by susan b. kemnitz art, just one of the many items in the grand prize basket.
Participating locations and businesses included:
- The Doublewide (also hosted the Chamber, Copy Right Printing, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, CruiseOne-Noel Gaines)
- Tapestry Vineyard Church's Stompin' Grounds (also hosted Learning Happiness Health Coaching)
- New Market Bank (also hosted the Firehouse Grille, Harmonic Spirit Wellness Center)
- Crowned Cottage
- Old Hotel Market
- Salon Allure (also hosted T&G Retrievers)
- TDF Liquor
The Chamber looks forward to hosting future Ladies' Nights and encourages even more members to take advantage of this opportunity to interact with local residents.
Thanks to the committee that made this event possible:
- Karen Ramola, New Market Bank
- Noel Gaines, CruiseOne
- Kate Haustein, The Firehouse Grille
- Jeanne Mahoney, The Old Hotel Market
- Anna Simon, Learning Happiness Health Coaching
