Jumping for Joy in 2015!

Hello Friends,

Hoping you all enjoyed a lovely holiday season and are feeling excited and refreshed for the new year! We are back in the office and literally jumping for joy to work with all of our clients, donors, community partners, volunteers and friends to make 2015 the best year yet, for MEarth and youth in our community!

Big thanks to all the wonderful donors that contributed to our year-end campaigns. We closed out our MC Gives! Summer Camp Scholarship FUN-d on December 31st with $4,213 in donations! Because of the 39 generous individuals that contributed to that campaign, we will be able to share the magic of a MEarth summer with at least 15 summer campers, FREE of charge! Thank you to the Monterey County Weekly and the Community Foundation of Monterey County for including us in this wonderful opportunity.

If you did not get around to making a donation to MEarth in 2014, you are not too late! The 'Charity Match' initiative is still underway. Click here to make a tax-deductible contribution to support MEarth's annual fund TODAY! Your donation made before February 27th will receive a 20% match through the Monterey Peninsula Foundation. We look forward to welcoming you into our circle of supporters. Please do not hesitate to call our office directly for more information: 831-624-1032.

If you are like me (and most of the modern world), January is a time for reflection on the previous year and setting clear-eyed intentions for the year to come. It is my hope that some of you may have resolved to get more involved with your community through gardens, healthy food initiatives and hands-on environmental action. If that is the case, please reach out to Melissa Lopez, our Volunteer Coordinator, at Melissa@MEarthCarmel.org. She can plug you into the property and programs that best fit your schedule and desires. It takes many hands to do the good work of MEarth and I know that together we can create a more sustainable and resilient future!

Looking forward to working with you in 2015.

Warm Regards,

Tanja Roos, MNA
Executive Director, MEarth

Exciting news! MEarth has been selected to participate in the Monterey Peninsula Foundation's #FlatClint promotion on Social Media!

The Monterey Peninsula Foundation will donate $10 for each #FlatClint (a photo cut-out of Clint Eastwood) posted on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram through February 15, 2015. This campaign will generate buzz for MEarth and the 5 other participating nonprofits and highlight the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am’s charitable purpose.

Keep your eye on MEarth's Facebook page and Instagram account for more details! #FlatClint
