My Personal #WOTY Mandala
Welcome to 2015!
By now you've had a chance to settle into this brilliant new year, and may have a few intentions or plans for the year. Maybe you even made a few "resolutions". Sadly, statistics show that most resolutions made fall by the wayside by February. This month I'm sharing a few unique tools, including a great acupressure point that may assist you to carry those dreams a bit further than resolutions that get lost and forgotten. I'll also share a great manifestation I had that lead to a spontaneous, surprise Birthday trip...to Panama!!

What is a WOTY? And why would you want one?

The past few years I've seen a new trend happening...that of picking a theme or word of the year....something to remind you of the essence of what you wanted your year to be, and thus the acronym WOTY or "Word of the Year" was born. I have embraced this WOTY, and taken it to another level with a WOTY mandala. I have mostly kept this a private process, but this year I've been drawn to share it.
Four years ago I chose my Core Values as my theme for the year. To focus the year on really delving into what those Core Values meant to me, and how much smoother my life was when I was going through my days in resonance with them. (You can message me to book a Core Values session for yourself if this is something that interests you in your life.) I even made myself a mandala that New Years Eve to remind myself through the year to stay in resonance with them. I also built my website with them in mind, and I've found I attract very like minded, beautiful clients...which makes my "work" really meaningful and wonderful.

So, maybe 2015 is the year to:
"Forget New Year’s Resolutions. Scrap that long list of goals you won’t remember three weeks from now anyway."

Choose just one word.
One word you can focus on every day, all year long… One word that sums up who you want to be or how you want to live."
You can even find and connect with others who have the same word as you here
#oneword365

You will know you have the right WOTY because it will just feel good! You will resonate with it. It will encompass your resolutions in a totally magical, new way, and you will be able to think about the feeling of that word, and allow that to be your guide through the year, taking you to place a long list of resolutions never would.
Choosing a word/phrase/theme of the year is a sacred practice. But, sadly, just like resolutions, many of these sacred intentions are buried under the busy-ness of life by the time February rolls around. The reason for this is that there needs to be a way to anchor this "WOTY" into the unconscious mind.

A personal "WOTY" Soul Mandala can take your "WOTY" and create a visually pleasing, meditative image that speaks deeply to your unconscious, leading you to take small consistent actions daily towards your intended outcomes. Your "WOTY" can embrace many "resolutions" and because it is more of an overall theme and feeling than actual concrete resolutions there may be great surprises as you are brought more manifestations of your theme than you could have imagined!! I had this happen already this year, and we're only 6 weeks into the year....see more on that below.
You can read a bit more about my "WOTY" mandala I created for myself here.
A custom Soul Mandala is normally $222.00 to create. For the next month until March 15th you can purchase one to be created for YOU for $166.00. You can read a bit more here. Or message me here to get started on yours or if you have any questions. A "WOTY" mandala makes a really unique Birthday gift too! You may even decide to create a WOTY tradition each year on your birthday rather than at New Years.

New Moon Manifesting

This morning I woke thinking about the New Moon, which happens Wed, Feb 18th. I was thinking about what an incredible month it's been since the last New Moon. I like to write my intentions for the next month at each New Moon. New Moon intentions are written statements of what you intend to create in the coming Moon cycle. The new moon is thought to be the birthing cycle of the moon's various phases, and so "seeds" planted now can "grow" with the moon.
Last month it was just a few weeks before my birthday at the New Moon. I wrote an intention that I wanted to do something fun and unexpected for my birthday. I hadn't really made any plans, and so decided to be open to "expect the unexpected". I'm an Aquarius after all!
That intention, combined with my WOTY of "Immortal Treasures"....allowing all the Gifts of my Soul to manifest created a most unexpected gift of time with a precious friend. The really interesting part was that I had to allow, and accept the gift that came. My friend asked me with one weeks notice to accompany her to Panama to celebrate our birthdays and to take possession of her new home there. Of course I had a ton of reasons why I couldn't...financial, clients, etc, etc. But.....I had just finished telling several clients how important it is to celebrate life, celebrate our victories, honor ourselves and to say YES!! So here the Universe was giving me a test.....a test to Walk my Talk....a test to allow and receive....a test to Trust.....and oh so much more...
Wow!! What can I say but what a wonderful week we had! I love how the intention was birthed at the Full Moon. I got to enjoy a Full Moon Birthday dinner outside gazing at the moonlight on the water while being caressed by warm tropical air! I've shared a couple of photos below.
Soooo....what will you write for your New Moon intentions this month, and what will you do to allow all that you deserve to flow to you?
I love the Power Path, and this month's New Moon blog is great.
"Remember to vote with your heart and not with your mind and to dream outside the box. Spend some time now in that wide-open place where intuition speaks to you in the language of imagination, beauty, art, and divine union." -The Power Path
I'd love to hear back from you about your intentions, manifestations, and creations!
Happy New Moon!

Acupressure Point to Enhance Focus and Motivation

For when you just need to get stuff done!!

Location: Two-thirds of the way up from the upper lip to the nose. Press slowly but firmly into your gum and breathe deeply. Do this for a couple of minutes. The effectiveness of this point often increases by pressing it firmly each day over a period of several weeks.

Creative Benefits:  Although this point is also good for improving memory and concentration, its magic lies in its ability to bring you back into both moment and focus. Whenever you have an idea but are unsure about it or have doubts, this point will gently bring you back into yourself both increasing your creativity, centering and grounding you, especially useful if feeling a little spaced out. It helps you let go of worries and any creative doubt. GV 26 can also be used to relieve fainting and dizziness.

Creating a Meditation "Room"

Do you have a meditation "room"...a sacred space where you can go to find your true essence and be with your thoughts.
"Your Sacred Space is where you can find yourself again and again and again." -Joseph Campbell
It doesn't have to be an entire room...it could just be a comfy chair in a corner that you have made special for yourself. This may mean special cushions, books, candles and a journal for jotting down those great inspirations that come when we give them space. It may mean an area where you surround yourself with objects of beauty that make you feel peaceful and calm. It may be an area that you make beautiful and special just for you....to have a cup of tea each day. Maybe it is just one object that helps you find that calm amid the noise of a busy home.
What would you put into your sacred space? Here's a photo of one of my meditation mandala cushions to get your imagination going. Have fun!
