We've had a pretty full '14 in this our first year of official business. It's actually pretty cool to take the time to reflect and note what went down when everything seems so hectic. Hope y'all had a solid year as well.
All acts had an extremely busy 12 months with a stack of national touring and full release schedule. Well done dudes.
in January then continued to tour for 11 months of the year, dropping 4 singles and 4 filmclips in what was one of their busiest years yet as a group. The band finished their 5th year of existence at the end of 2014, having played more in 5 years than most original bands will play in a lifetime with over 300,000kms, 600 live original shows and 50 Festival appearances smashed out around the country. 2015 will see the act focus on a new album, Festivals and high-end support slots, popping up mid-year for a run of dates nation-wide. The Royal Artillery pushed the accelerator down further this year, ramping up their live performance calendar with probably their busiest year as a band since forming pre-2010. 3 national tours in a 12mth period mixed in with their debut album release
Odds and Ends, a mashup of tracks recorded since inception. The act has stepped up their commitment to the cause with some solid supports throughout the year (
The Delta Riggs, King of the North, The Art) and Festival appearances. 2 new clips were dropped in '14 along with 2 single releases. The band has some exciting news to drop early 2015 in acquiring a super-producer to work on a new EP, scheduled for an April release. Check out their full EPK

Olivia Ruth first came to the attention of
Beats Cartel mid 2014 when she successfully took out the first
From Busk Til Dawn Competition at
Taps Mooloolaba. After joining
Beats Cartel Management Olivia took to the road to promote her first single and film clip
'Forever' from her debut EP
Aussie Lass. Olivia's 5 week tour saw her perform in over 20 venues along the east coast of Australia and partner up with fellow blues and roots artists,
Tom Richardson and
Benjamin James Caldwell. Olivia is working towards recording her second EP in early 2015 and touring north to promote her second single in February and March.

2015 will see us continue to work with these artists along with the addition of 1 or 2 acts to the stable. Also soon-to-be-released is a joint national tour hosted by Beats including the awesome
Bonez (Sydney) and
Barefoot Alley (Brisbane) who will hit the road late January.
Festivals
What started as a dream to field the most awesome lineup of modern Blues, Roots, Rock and Stoner acts on the one bill was realised in March with the drop of our inaugural
MOJO BURNING FESTIVAL. 20 acts were displayed over 3 stages at the
New Globe Theatre in Brisbane and boy what a vibe was had! With such acts as
The Fumes, Marshall OKell, My Left Boot, La Bastard, The Floors, Guthrie, Frank Sultana and many more, the Fest picked up the vote for
The New Globe Theatre's # 1 gig of the year. We lineup again in 2015 with 27 ACTS this time over 2 days including
Redcoats, Gay Paris, Claude Hay, Simon Meli, Mojo Webb, The Good Ship and a heap more. Check out the event

From Busk Til Dawn and ran a weekend of
Mojo Burning sideshows down into NSW for the first time.
Only a few weeks ago we dropped our first
BEARDS, BREWS and BLUES FESTIVAL in conjunction with the Bearded Men of the Sunshine Coast. As the name suggests it was a heap of rollicking Blues mixed in with craft beer and plenty of facially-endowed gentlemen. Will drop again even bigger in '15.
Upcoming we have
Blues Rock Fest at the
Redland Bay Hotel on Australia Day and a 2000 pax Festival planned for Mooloolaba late 2015.
New Ventures
Beats certainly put fingers into new pies this year with the addition of an eTV channel
BeatsTV focusing on live video capture, interview and filmclip production. With that we dropped a couple of vid interviews and shot and produced 2 filmclips. More chalked up for 2015.
We teamed up with
The AU Review to host our first digital radio show
BeatsRADIO which airs online Tuesdays at 10.00am and Saturdays at 11.00 DST featuring the best Australian Blues, Roots, Rock and Stoner tunes with interviews and a selection of overseas tracks. Some cool stuff in the pipeline! Listen to all the 60min episode podcasts

After jumping on a local yacht for a hens' party, Kim from
Beats had a brainwave to bring live original tunes to that same yacht whilst cruising the ocean and canals surrounding the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Nice work! We kicked off our first
A SET ADRIFT concept gig last weekend with
Tom Richardson from Melbourne. What a day on the water. Tunes, food and beers courtesy of our friends at

Venues
2014 saw us team up with a bunch of venues, add some, lose 1 or 2 along the way. Nature of the beast. We're happy to be working with
Taps Australia booking live acoustic and original entertainment 4 nights a week. Sunday Blues BBQ sessions have also been a blast at the
Lucky Coq in Melbourne. We also book with the
Rainbow Beach Hotel,
Irish McGanns Roma and have been regularly working with the
Redland Bay Hotel and
Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane. 2015 will see us pick up a new venue in Dalby and 2 monthly Sunday mini-Festival slots on the Sunshine Coast. And that's just the start of it...
