Happy New Year!

from the Triad Ladder of Hope Staff and Board Members
As we start a new year, we thank God for the blessing of each one of you. And we thank YOU for your prayers and financial support - without you, we could not do what we do. Trusting that you and your families celebrated this Christmas all the joys that Jesus brings! JESUS…we are fed by His Hands, carried in His heart, supported by His arms, warmed by His love. He never fails, is always with us and loves us unconditionally.

For unto you in born this day in the city of David a SAVIOUR,
which is CHRIST THE LORD.” Luke 2:11

Looking back at 2014...
WOW - it is hard to believe we will celebrate our 10th year this coming year! God has blessed us in so many ways over the last decade and you are a big part of that. This past year has been a tremendous time of seeing God work in incredible ways.  We have been blessed by new churches putting us in their budget, Lawndale Baptist hosted a 5K for us, and many others churches, groups, and individuals are standing with us in the fight to end slavery in our communities.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3

We began our strip Club Ministry in Greensboro, NC in January. We have been going into one club there. In 2015 our prayer is that we will be able to go into more clubs. Our Salisbury team is going into three clubs. We are so thankful for the many women’s groups that prepared pampering bags for our ladies in the clubs; the ladies in the clubs are precious children of God.

We have seen an increase in recues; but unfortunately the number living in slavery continues to grow. The fight to end this horrific injustice is needed more today than ever before. Many of our states are putting new and stiffer laws in place. The media are addressing the issue more than when we began ten years ago. Awareness that slavery exists is growing in our country!  And speaking of awareness - have you heard that we are hosting our 1st Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Gala this month? See below for more information.  We are excited that God has provided the opportunity and resources to put together this event.  Please keep us in prayer as we finish preparations this week.

Our teams in Charlotte, Salisbury, and High Point/Greensboro have been speaking and doing trainings. Our founder has traveled across NC and into other states speaking at Sunday morning services, various church groups, conferences and to professionals about the growing problem of human trafficking.  Community trainings have been requested from many churches and groups along with training for professionals.  We are reaching more people than ever.

In the spring of 2014, we began our SOAP project for the High Point Furniture Market. Some hotel managers were very receptive of placing the labeled soaps in their hotel rooms during the Furniture Market. Others were a bit more hesitant. During the spring market, we had 3,000 soaps put out in four different cities. Our goal is to increase that number each market. This past fall, we added two cities in the Triad and had 8,000 labeled soaps put into the hotels - more than double the previous market! Churches and individuals were a big help in donating funds for us to purchase the soaps.

Unmasking the Truth behind Human Trafficking
"I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pitout of the mud and mire;

He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God."

Psalms 40:1-3a
