North Wins Center of Excellence Award
We are so proud to have been one of only 19 schools in Colorado awarded the 2014 Colorado Center of Excellence Award. Each year, the Colorado Department of Education recognizes public schools in the state that enroll a student population of which at least 75 percent are at-risk pupils and that demonstrate the highest rates of student growth, as measured by the Colorado Growth Model. On the school performance framework that is used by the state to evaluate schools, these 19 schools have demonstrated impressive results on the indicator relating to longitudinal academic growth. Signs are available in the main office, stop in and pick one up. We especially appreciate families who live on busier streets posting the signs in your yards, to maximize visibility. THANK YOU!
Black Masque Presents "Little Shop of Horrors"

Seymour works at a flower shop, attending a plant who he has named Audrey II (after the love of his life, Audrey). However, his plant is no normal plant. It came from outer space and requires a diet of fresh blood. Seymour starts by giving the plant his own blood, but, when people start dying, the plant wants more than a few drops of blood. This is one show you don't want to miss!
Tickets available in advance at the North High main office and at the door. $10/adults, FREE for students and children 18 and under. This is a family-friendly production.

Vikings Selected as Grand Marshals for MLK Marade!

Spring Sports Information
Spring Sports will officially begin on February 23. In the meantime, off-season workouts to prepare for Tryouts begin NOW. Please note the following important dates regarding Spring sports:
Girls Soccer - Preseason Meeting on Thursday January 15 @ 4:30pm in B108. Practice every Thursday @ 4:00p on the Turf.
Baseball - Practices on Wednesday and Thursday in the Batting Cage @ 4:00pm
Boys Lacrosse - Monday to Friday, at 4:00p, on the Turf beginning on Monday January 12
Girls Lacrosse - Practice Monday, January 19, 11a - 2pm on the Turf.
Viking Rugby - Meeting on January 15 @ 6:45p in Room B108
Track and Field - Practice Monday-Friday @ 4:00p- Front of school
Boys Swimming- Practice Monday-Friday @ 4:15p in the Pool
