Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- Philippians 4:6-7

Happy New Year!

From getting students ready for overseas trips to our parents visiting, there's been a lot of coming and going in the past few weeks! Here is the latest on Wycliffe Discover interns I am working with, as well as some updates on Jason and me!

SULLIVAN: This Liberty University student is heading to Papua New Guinea TOMORROW! for a 4 month internship.  He will be learning the ins and outs of language survey work to see if that is something God is calling him to, while at the same time providing help to the local survey team, and fulfilling his Liberty University internship requirement.
“I have also learned that The Lord makes possible what He draws His children into if it is the step that Lord has established.” – Sullivan
DAVID AND KRIS: This couple is heading to Indonesia in February to teach missionary children and the children of the local Bible translator. I have been privileged to coordinate their trip, including a prayerful journey to raise a large amount of finances. We just received confirmation that all of their funds have come in!  Here's their response:
“Praising God for giving this amazing amount ahead of time! I know that He usually builds faith by waiting till the last minute, but so incredibly grateful that He has smiled on us in such a way.” David and Kris
JENELLE, STEPHANIE, LIZ (left to right, on a South Asian train!): These three young women were on our South Asia Discover trip this past summer.  They are all currently considering a 6 month placement with one of our field staff in S. Asia.  Pray for them as they seek God’s direction in this decision.
"Wow! This sounds like a great opportunity. I definitely need to pray and talk to some people I trust. This is not a decision I want to make lightly." ~ Stephanie
Jason and Elizabeth! â€“ We enjoyed visits from both of our parents over Christmas and New Year’s.  In fact, we have had one set of our parents or the other in our home for the past 22 days!

Thanks for praying for us as we embark into Year 2 of marriage!

Jason has started his Administration and Educational Leadership all day Saturday classes again and the homework that comes with it.  He is also leading a life group in our church.

Pray for wisdom to lead life group well and for endurance to complete his class assignments.

Elizabeth continues to interview students for job roles and internships, as well as equip participants for their service overseas.

Pray for preparations for a trip to Liberty University in early February to mentor students and speak in classes and hall meetings for Global Focus Week.

I have recently updated my blog, and added some sections (tabs at the top).  I have a goal to write a brief post every Monday called 'Today's Joys.'  I also hope to write a regular blog post on Tuesdays, and have an additional "Wordless Wednesday post" that simply contains pictures on Wednesday!  Thank you for journeying along with me!
