The Montessori Way to Help People With Dementia

FROM OUR BLOG

Restarting a stalled Montessori Implemention

We are all looking to provide the best care that we can, and that is why we look to Montessori Methods and other programmes for strategies to improve care. Taking the two day DementiAbility: The Montessori Way workshop is a fantastic first step towards implementing Montessori Methods, but it is only the first step. It takes a lot of time, cooperation within the organization and effort to start the implementation. It takes even more to get the full benefits of a successful implementation.

Habits, Routines and Hobbies

Having a loved one at home with dementia can be challenging, but can also be rewarding.

PINK TOWER AND BROWN STAIRS

Exciting New Traditional Montessori Products

Our traditional Montessori activities have proven to be very popular and highly effective in engaging people. We've been working on developing new products for some time and are pleased to announce our new Pink Tower and Brown Stairs activities. These products are complementary to each other and can be used either separately or together.

The Pink Tower consists of a set of 10 pink cubes, each of a different size.Brown Stairs The Brown Stairs are the same size as the Pink Tower, but instead of being cubes they are long, rectangular blocks. Together with the supplied templates, each activity can be used to explore the relationship between the sizes of the pieces and to make shapes with them. Pink Tower/Brown StairsPutting the two together opens up even more possibilities because each Pink Tower cube has a matching Brown Stair block.

Both activities are offered in a regular size for individuals as well as a large size that is ideal for small group activities.

NEW TRAINING PROGRAMME

Implementing Montessori: The First Steps

The first is "Implementing Montessori:The First Steps", a one day course for people who have taken the two day workshop but want more practical help getting started. Because of the hands-on nature of the workshop, attendance is limited to ten participants. Contact us if you're interested in scheduling a workshop in your area.
