Dr. Mike Grindstaff and his wife, Tricia, opened Optique Vision Center at 1482 S. Bryant in Spring Creek Plaza on June 6, 2009. The couple, originally from Edmond, chose to open their business in the city because they felt it was a diverse community that would respond well to their business model.

Optique is essentially two businesses under one roof. On the medical side, state-of-the-art technology helps provide eye health examinations as well as lenses and contacts from the best materials available. On the retail side, eyewear is available from basic to high-end fashion.

Operating a business in their hometown allows the couple to provide service to everyone from childhood friends and former high school teachers to new patients and customers. They hire local, use as many local products and services as they can, and give back to the community.

Now, after more than five years in business and a great response from the community, the Grindstaffs have opened a second Optique location at 7314 N. Western Ave. And they hope to continue to grow their business of providing personalized care in addition to high-end fashion.
