People Affected by Dementia: Individual Fund Awards

The Individual Awards project is a trial project which aims to give some extra financial support to people affected by dementia – both people with dementia and their carers.

The money comes from the Life Changes Trust but is being delivered through VOCAL. The Life Changes Trust is offering small amounts of money to people affected by dementia to:
  • Spend on something that they think will make their life better
  • Enable them to do something that matters to them which, without the award, they would not be able to do.
This is a trial project to find out what benefits Individual Awards can bring to people affected by dementia. Edinburgh is one of the areas in which the trial project is being run. It will run from: 1 October 2014 to 15 January 2015. People can apply for any amount up to £500 per person.
