A great photo from Eleanor demonstrating the good old stick testing technique on the wet section of Waikaia Bush Road! Makes you wonder though, with not a tree in sight, where did that stick come from?
Stefan has an eye for taking great adventure photos. He's uploaded an arsenal of outstanding shots for the latest photos page, this is just one of them.
These two reviews on the Helinox - Chair One convinced me to buy one. Couldn't agree with you more, very comfy little gadgets. Nice job Clint and Peter4d.
A short and sweet review on the Leatham River 4X4 Track by dazzadm with a great photo at the compulsory photo stop.
A comprehensive tyre review of the Metzeler Sahara 3 Enduro puts petertown into the winning circle
Brendan33c also came in with a sweet review on the Continental TKC80.
Zelander is storming ahead with 9 great tyre reviews!
No one likes unexpected locked gates so a big thanks to Jatz for this locked gate update on Cape Terrace Road.

Ahh dang nzrian, we've all been there mate! A classic photo from his Forma Adventure Boot Review
This prize goes to Gremlin for his handy dandy grip diameter increasing article.
Mattygrace’s ride report is mixed with some great shots and battle wound stories so won the ride report prize.

One of the cracker routes recently added to RemoteMoto is Totara Valley Road. Although this is a fairly short in-out route, it is an outstanding section of gravel with magic views up the Totara Valley and Totara River.
The Historic Empire Hotel is perfect example of a true West Coast pub. It’s not going to win any modern decor prizes but if you're looking for a pub with a great cook and some friendly locals who can spin a good yarn or two then this is the spot. Their seafood chowder is ridiculously good!
Double Hill Access Track is a side road of Double Hill Run Road and is well worth doing to capture the spectacular views up the valley. The endless sequence of mountain ranges are a sight to see.
The Lost Gypsy Gallery is a one of a kind place that is definitely worth a look. The house bus itself is full to the brim with weird, wacky and clever creations that are free to view. For just $5 you can explore the back section which will quite simply astound you with the unorthodox mix of bizarre creativity and cunning engineering which has been all hand created by the owner. An absolute must see, you will not be disappointed!
Deer Flat Campsite is one of my favourite spots when heading into Milford Sound. With lots of great places to camp and magic mountain views, it's hard to beat.
The Engine breather setup for deep water crossings article offers helpful advice to ensure your engine doesn't take in water through the engine breathers when crossing deep rivers.
When the day runs out of sunshine and the dark sets in, I’ve previously found riding with a stock light (on or off road) to be pretty sketchy. Hazards such as ruts, rocks and tight corners can be easily missed, especially on uncharted terrain. Recently I installed two MotoMox LED Lights and have been blown away with the light output from such a small draw of wattage. The crisp white light illuminates what's ahead so well that hazards are as obvious as riding in daylight. Aside from the safety aspect, it has made riding at night far more enjoyable.

These lights are basically half price of other available brands such as Vision-X or Trail Tech and with comparable specs. They can be purchased here: MotoMox LED Lights.

A two month riding and fly fishing trip recently came to an end with the result being an arsenal of new routes and features logged for the RemoteMoto website. In amongst strings of rainy days there were many days that delivered clear blue skies and perfect riding and fishing weather.
A photo rich ride report can be found here: Spring Trip 2014. All the new routes from that ride report will be loaded to RemoteMoto over the coming few weeks.

In other good news, there has been some serious development to RemoteMoto. New features will be released soon with some great news for the North Island riders. =) More information will soon follow.
The RemoteMoto Facebook page hasn't really been a major focus but this year more time will be spent posting photos, updates, reviews, ride reports and all that good stuff. It's a great way to keep up to date with all the goings-on plus new routes and features to explore.
