IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THOSE ATTENDING THE HEARING
Everyone - no food or drink allowed in the auditorium and no sign waving or anything that might be disruptive. We want the Zoning Appeals Board to appreciate our presence.
Those who wish to speak:
be courteous & stay on point - reading notes recommended - assume 2 minute time limit
sit near the front and on aisle to speed moving to the podium when called
if your points have been covered by previous speaker, stand and say that you "agree with" or "support" the previous comments.
Suggested Talking Points:
As a resident of Reston who lives adjacent to [near, in the vicinity of, etc.] the golf course property, it is a positive amenity and a reason why you bought where you did; you had and have an expectation that it is going to remain as open space with a golf course.
Until this appeal was filed, no one had ever heard talk that the golf course property might even be considered for any use other than its “golf course” and “open space” uses.
