HFFI—As Strong as our Community

2015 has arrived and the Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc. is ready to make it a remarkable year for preservation in the Rappahannock region. We are off to a great start as we tally the numbers from another successful Candlelight Tour. Did you know that our annual Candlelight Tour of historic homes provides more than one-third of our funding for the year? That’s how important the event is to HFFI!

Did you also know that we receive little to no public funding for daily operations and are not affiliated with any local or state government agencies? HFFI is a private, independent organization that is largely funded by donations, membership fees, book sales, historic marker reports, interest payments from our endowment, and events like the Candlelight Tour. We value and appreciate every dollar you donate.

So, as the new year begins, please consider joining (or renewing!) your membership to the Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc. We’re only as strong as the community that supports us.

Save us the stamp when we send out membership renewal postcards and join or renew online now!  Let’s make 2015 the year we all make a difference.

A year of great events coming your way!

Get ready, because we have a great list of events lined up for 2015!

Our research teams are working hard to develop new tours and exhibits about our historic buildings and to tell stories from throughout Fredericksburg’s history. From an encore of the Historic Pub Tour to a look at the diversity among early homeowners in the area, there is sure to be something that piques your interest.

Members asked for tips on taking care of their historic home—well, we heard your request and are planning a Historic Homeowners Workshop for Saturday, March 21st.  Stay tuned for more information about this and all of our events in 2015.

Thank you to all of our sponsors

The Annual Holiday Candlelight Tour and the Vintage Route 1 Event are made possible by the support of sponsors and businesses within the community.

It is the generous donations made by them that make the events and day-to-day operations of HFFI possible. We cannot thank them enough.
