Greetings!

Martin Luther King had a dream of the kind of world he wanted to live in. What kind of a world do you want to live in? What would the residents you serve say if you asked them to complete this sentence “I want to live in a world where…”? What would you say? Here are some of my thoughts.
  • I want to live in a world where everyone sings and where everyone can experience the joy of making music together.
  • I want to live in a world where music holds its place in our lives, even as we age.
  • I want to live in a world where we reach for music and sing a song before we prescribe a medication.
  • I want to live in a world where the human voice in song is celebrated and where no one says “I can’t sing!”
  • I want to live in a world where people can enjoy the memories triggered by the songs of their youth.
And that is why I created Young at Heart Music, where I bring seniors together to sing, to tap toes, to clap hands, to nod, to dance to share stories and to laugh. Because singing and happiness go hand in hand.

Musically yours,
Mary Sue

I was honored to have Savannah Buist from The Accidentals review my CD. Here’s one of my favorite songs that Savannah wrote. Enjoy!

Songs You Know By Heart – Mary Sue Wilkinson
Price $15 plus $3 shipping

Songs You Know By Heart is a collection of 18 favorites from the Young at Heart Music program. The CD features Mary Sue’s crystal clear vocals on classics such as Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, Let Me Call You Sweetheart,Shine On Harvest Moon, Sunny Side of the Street, You Are My Sunshine and more. Great to listen to and perfect for singing along.
The reviews are starting to come in for my new CD “Songs You Know By Heart”.  It makes me very happy to know that others are finding happiness through the music on my CD.

"My grandfather struggled with Alzheimer’s in some of the last years of his life. During that time, it was amazing to witness the power of Mary Sue's music at work. These songs put that spark back in my grandfather's eyes. Even when simple tasks became incredibly difficult for him, Mary Sue was always able to get him singing and dancing. This album will get you doing the same."

“Thank You for the wonderful CD. Today I brought lunch to my 92 year old mother who resides in a nursing home in Lansing.  When your CD began she got a huge smile on her face (something we don't see often).  She has always had a beautiful singing voice and today I got to hear that again.  We shared laughs, memories, and tears but it became an afternoon I will not soon forget. Thank you again.”
