Copyright Infringement or Not
We are fully aware that there is a lot of discussion regarding Copyright on various social network sites. Some of the advice being offered is way off the mark and all Operators need to be aware of the various Copyright regulations.
Our Information Sheet 13 covers all the basics and you should take the time to read it. We will be updating this after the INPAS show in early February.
It is up to individual Operators whether or not they purchase themed units but be aware there are no UK manufacturers, as far as we are aware, that hold any valid licences for Disney, Paramount, Warner Brothers etc. The bottom line is that Operators do risk losing their kit in the event of any Copyright infringements.
There are already manufacturers that will not breach Copyright so all their units are safe from Copyright lawyers. They are in the minority though.
