Fordham and Stour: Recent Crimes
 
Dedham Road 

Suspects unknown have removed a pressure washer from the victims front garden on one occasion and a small worktop fridge with a money box attached to it on the second occasion.
 
London Road
Suspects unknown have used an unknown tool to force the rear kitchen window completely from the frame. Suspects have then entered property through the open window frame. an extensive exceptionally untidy house search has been made and a free standing digital safe removed from the master bedroom. safe found outside on the drive way forced open and personal and financial documents taken.
 
Straight Road
Suspect unknown has entered the victims workshop by forcing the padlock off the front door and then using tools from inside the property to jemmy an internal door causing damage to door and its frame. The suspect has then been disturbed by an alarm and then left via the same way as entered.

Dedham and Langham
Moor Road

Suspects unknown have gained entry to victim's home after forcing a kitchen window with an 
unknown implement causing some damage and then have completed a messy search of the house taking several items of jewellery.



 
Langham Singers:

The group is singing on Saturday January 17 at Langham Community Centre 11.15am to 1.15pm.  All welcome.

Boxted Airfield Historical Group

On Tuesday January 20 at 7.30pm at the Museum, Langham Lane, Langham, Bill Smith will be speaking on The Vickers Machine Gun. Doors open 7pm, admission £3 members, non-members also welcome; tea and coffee available.

It is held at Langham Community Centre from 10.30–12.00, with the 100 club draw taking place at 11.30.

Trees for Years 2015 Saturday February 7

 

The 9th Trees for Years Initiative sponsored by OfficeIS will be held at Rowan House Council Offices Car Park off Sheepen Road between 10am -1pm.

Free trees will be given away to Borough Residents, Community Groups, Schools and Parish Council’s.  Residents can collect up to 3 plants per household and up to 15 per community group, School and Parish Council.

The following species will be available.

 

Raspberry canes                                                Blackcurrant canes

Gooseberry bush                                               Forsythia x intermedia ‘Spectabilis’

Acer campestre – Field Maple                         Prunus padus – Bird Cherry

Betula pendula – Silver Birch                           Corylus avellana – Hazel cob nut

Cornus alba ‘Siberica’ – Red Stem dogwood

Cornus stolonifera ‘Flaviramea’ – Yellow stem Dogwood

 

·       2015 bare root trees/fruit bushes will be available on a first come first serve basis.

·       Trees must be planted on private property and postcodes will be recorded to monitor the distribution.

·       Cultivation guidance will be available so that trees can be selected, taking into account the ultimate size and form of mature trees.

·       Remember to bring a bag to put your trees in.

Every few months Langham Community Shop organises a bulk delivery of heating oil and because we might be ordering well over 50000 litres we can negotiate a very healthy discount!  Call into the shop to register.  Next date for latest orders: 11am Sunday 8th February 2015
Family Quiz Night
Saturday March 7. Boxted Village Hall. 7pm.  Teams of up to 8 people. £6 per head. (inc light snacks)  Licensed Bar and a Raffle.  All ages welcome.  To book a table ring Dominic Shiel. 01206 273324. In aid of the village churches' youth work. 






The Christmas Pantomime written and staged by the British Legion club raised the magnificent sum of £715 for the Poppy Fund.  Many thanks to all who contributed and supported the event.
