Grant Received
REI provides grants to select nonprofits that care for the outdoor places its customers love. The process begins with local store teams, who establish meaningful partnerships with organizations and invite them to apply for funding. Bike Alpharetta is proud to have started the new year as a grant recipient from the Atlanta market team opening a new store this spring at Mansell Crossing, on the northwest corner of North Point Parkway. Inaugural MVP Award
A new tradition with Bikes for Kids will be the MVP Award, presented to individual or organization who provide resources to make a difference. We had HUGE support this year from Bike Alpharetta board members, Bike Roswell, Si Brantley, AOC, RAMBO and the Mullenbach Family. The trophy was awarded to City of Alpharetta Dept of Public Safety - great job guys with fire truck for water supply, bike drive with staff and many volunteer hours! |

Santa's Helpers
All the donations with Bikes for Kids made an incredible difference in December for two local charities - North Fulton Community Charities and Home Stretch:
- 160 bicycles and tricycles total, many NEW
- 180-plus helmets to accompany all bicycles and tricycles, all NEW
An incredible 114 individuals volunteered time and energy to make Bikes for Kids a success in 2014. Special thanks to RAMBO and Bike Roswell! which both contributed to the cause to purchase new helmets!
