MFI Proudly Announces

New Teen Film Program

July 13 - 25, 2015
Ages: 14 - 16

MFI will be accepting 12 directors and 12 actors in our brand new teen program! With our world-class faculty, we have designed a program for teens that will be both challenging and transformational. Our teen summer program is designed for students - Actors and Directors - who have a love for filmmaking. Enrollment will be based on talent and passion.

Actors...

Will star in a short film under the tutelage of MFI faculty members Chazz Palminteri and Tony Spiridakis. While the films are in the edit room, actors will rehearse and prepare a monologue that will be filmed by MFI cinematographers. In addition, all actors will learn key crew positions and the art of collaboration as they crew each others films.

Directors...

Will direct a short film under the tutelage of MFI faculty members Tony Spiridakis, Shannon Goldman and Chazz Palminteri. Directors will rehearse their actors, scout locations, build a shot list with their cinematographer, direct and edit their film. In addition, all directors will learn key crew positions and learn the art of collaboration as they crew each others films.

Venue

Our classes will be held at Brecknock Hall, a beautiful Stone Mansion in Greenport, New York and students will be housed at the Terrace Cottages.

This new offering is the perfect way for teen directors and actors to learn the MFI method of making films. It allows young artists to explore and push the boundaries of visual story telling in a safe and nurturing environment.
