Linguistic Society of America (LSA) annual meeting 2015

At the LSA meeting in Portland, I demonstrated Webonary in the SIL booth. I described Webonary as a platform for publishing multilingual minority language dictionaries online with a minimal amount of technical support. I showed them how Webonary supports several different views: search, browse, various downloads; how it supports pictures, audio, different fonts and scripts, comments, and different interface languages. I shared about the future for Webonary; support for video clips and one push button publishing from FLEx.

The interest in online dictionaries is very high at the moment and people seemed to be very impressed with Webonary. Researchers were pleased to find data from so many languages all in one place. Others were pleased to know about a platform that was available for them to publish their lexical database with such great ease.
Congratulations
