New organic and Swedish food shop in Santa Catalina
Britvid International food and films has expanded their business and opened a new organic and Swedish food shop.They offer an extended range of organic and healthy food, fresh milk and a lot of Swedish products. The new shop is located just next door from the old shop on Calle San Magi.

La Perla
In February Emilio Ingrosso opens the doors to his brand new Italian restaurant La Perla. The restaurant is situated in the trendy area of Santa Catalina where you can enjoy a nice breakfast, lunch or splash out on their luxurious bistro concept for dinner in the evening. The opening hours are Tuesday-Sunday for lunch 11-16 and dinner 18-24. On Sundays they are open 11-16 for a tasty Italian brunch.

Spectacular carnivals in Palma de Mallorca
Sa Rua & Sa Rueta Carnival Palma de Mallorca are two street carnivals that take place over a weekend on the 14th and 15th of February in Palma de Mallorca. The Sa Rueta, which takes place on the Saturday, is the children's carnival and parade. Sa Rua is the adult version and it is held on the Sunday. There are prizes for the best costumes and the procession will march down Avenida Jaime III, Passeig del Born and on to Placa Joan Carles and Carrer Unio. A large number of activities, the spectacular parade of floats and various dance teams turn Palma into a small Rio de Janeiro for a few hours.

BICYCLING
Mallorca's mild winters and the pleasant temperatures all year round make it ideal for active visitors. The island offers some of the most impressive, demanding and leisurely cycle rides right through from amateur to professional cyclist. The season begins in February and is busiest until May. HIKING
The best time for hiking in Mallorca is after the hot summer season and in the spring. The almond blossom adds a special charm to the landscapes of the hiking trails. The Tramuntana mountain range and Serra de Llevant mountains offer routes suitable for beginners right through to more advanced walkers.
