Digital health kicked off 2015 with a bang this month as breakout technology focused on visualization, 3D printing and artificial intelligence emerged at CES. And this week, 100 Healthcare Transformers from StartUp Health invaded the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference where we showcased 55 companies from eight countries and highlighted the incredible global reimagination of healthcare happening right now.

So far, digital health companies have raised $309.4M in 2015, according to StartUp Health Insights. Here are a few of the most recent deals:

San Francisco-based 10X Genomics has raised more than $55M to start selling a new technology that is designed to provide a more richly detailed picture of the human genome. The Series B round was led by Foresite Capital and joined by Venrock, as well other as new and existing investors. Forbes

Welltok raised an additional $12M from Hearst Heath Ventures and others, capping off a $37M Series D round. The Denver-based startup seeks to help health plans and population health managers better optimize incentives. MedCity News

Menlo Park, CA-based Health Fidelity has raised more than $19M. The company’s product, Reveal, is an advanced healthcare natural language processing platform. SEC

Health analytics marketplace Apervita has closed an $18M Series A round. The round was led by GE Ventures and Baird Capital. BusinessWire

Augmedix has raised a $16M Series A round. The funding, from Emergence Capital and DCM, is to support a program that runs on Google Glass that is designed to free up doctors from several hours' worth of data entry each day. VentureWire

GlySens has closed a $12M Series C, with participation from new and returning investors. The company will utilize the round to advance the development of its continuous glucose monitoring system for people with diabetes. PR Newswire

San Francisco-based goBalto has raised $12M for its software-as-a-service clinical research platform. The startup creates web-based solutions that simplify how clinical trials are conducted in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. MobiHealthNews

Kit Check has raised a $12M Series B round led by Kaiser Permanente Ventures. The company, based in Washington, DC, develops automated hospital pharmacy kit processing and medication tracking software. PR Newswire

Boston-based Par8o announced a $10.5M Series A round from Atlas Venture, Founder Collective, CHV Capital and other investors. The company’s platform allows healthcare organizations to optimize their networks of providers and other resources. Yahoo Finance

Active Mind Technologies, based in San Francisco, has raised $8.4M. The company has developed a wearable technology and software platform to bring quantified self to sports. SEC

Medication adherence app MediSafe raised $6M in a round led by Pitango Venture Capital. The round will be used to expand the company’s user base and relocate from Haifa, Israel, to Boston, MA. MobiHealthNews

New Jersey-based Axtria raised $5.6M. The company offers big data analytics for payors, pharma and medical device clients. SEC

Fitness startup Fitmob raised $5M to expand into more cities. The new funding was catalyzed by an AngelList Syndicate that blossomed to include institutions in addition to 92 individual investors. TechCrunch

Peerbridge Health has raised $4.8M. The New York-based startup is developing wearable wireless vital sign monitoring technology. SEC

SmartLink Mobile raised $2.5M in seed funding. The Cary, NC-based startup’s HIPAA-compliant app allows patients and doctors communicate via text. Xconomy

Digital Health Funding Annual Report 2014

Per the StartUp Health Insights report, 2014 was a record year for digital health, with over $6.5B invested in more than 450 digital health companies.
