Booking
If there's something you'd like to do, contact Holly to see if there's space.

Once your space is confirmed you can make payment from the website using a Paypal account. If you don't have Paypal, you can send a cheque to Holly - her details can be found on the rally page.

We are no longer sending out rally reminders via text message, so please make sure you keep on top of what you've booked on to. If you are unsure whether you have booked on a rally, you can check the rally spreadsheet >>

Rally survey
If you haven't completed it but would like to let us know what you think of our programme, including venues and instructors, you can still fill it in. Complete the survey >>
Area dressage

We're hosting this year's area dressage on Sunday 1 March at Leyland Court. We've already had some interest from people who want to complete, but there's still time to put yourself forward.

You can ride a prelim, novice or elementary test. Contact Alex Richards if you want to take part. You can also pay the entry fee on the website >>

We also need people to help us run the event, so if you want to get this year's helpers hours in early, contact Yvette Dixon.

The area events programme for 2015 is now on our website, why not see if there's something you want to do this year?
 Andrew Benny rallies

Due to the popularity of the recent Andrew Benny dressage lessons at Carolyn Taylor's yard in Winterbourne, we're putting on some more.

These rallies are running in partnership with Berkeley and District RC and are aimed at riders looking to progress through the dressage levels.

If you want to book on a future session or find out more, contact Carolyn
Combined training competition

The schedule for our members combined training event is out now. We've got classes to suit all levels of horse and rider including a walk / trot test with very small jumps.

The last two classes are ideal for those thinking about taking part in the area combined training event in April. The tests and height of the show jumping mirror that of the classes at the team event.

Beth Miller dressage courses

SVRC member Beth Miller is a BHS II and Bronze Medallist England team rider. She's hosting a series of dressage events over the coming months, designed to help get you ready for a successful 2015.

Dates include 31 Jan,1 Feb, 28 Feb, 1 Mar, 28 Mar and 29 Mar. Prices start at £25. Contact Beth to book 07807347153, or visit her Facebook page 'Lone Oak Stables'.
Hat guidance from BRC

We mentioned the changes to riding hat standards in the last issue. British Riding Clubs have now issued for guidance so you can check your hats against the new rules. You can read the guidance online >>
Membership and cards

The renewal period is now closed. If you were a member last year, haven't renewed yet but still want to, you will need to re-join as a new member.

Many of you will have received a membership in the post that was not in your name following an issue with the data BRC used. BRC is aware of the problem and will be re-issuing cards.
Camp

You can now book for this year's camp.

Following the same format as previous years, camp will take place at Pontispool near Taunton from 12-15 June. You can take part in flatwork, jumping and cross country lessons over the course of the event.

Camp costs £240, plus additional accommodation costs if you want to upgrade from bunk-house sleeping.

You can reserve your place by sending a cheque to cover your deposit and additional costs for accommodation, to Carolyn.
