Slovenia has four wonderful seasons for photography. I can’t decide which is my favorite because each one has its own qualities. I do like the contrast between them and here I share two shots, two different scenes photographed in two different seasons.
Both scenes were photographed at a farmhouse near lake Bled. The “green ones” were photographed in early May and the “white ones” today, late January. Also light is very different, a gentle sun through morning mists in May and heavy snowfall in January…
A wooden hayrack. Love this old structure, it barely holding together and it wonderfully complements distorted apple trees in the background.
Apple tree orchard. This is a traditional way of growing apples at Gorenjska region. Now days most of the orchards are very industrial mono-cultures which are commercially more successful but less sustainable.
