 Providing New Bedding, Caring
and Love to Children in Transition

When we load the van to go to each Treasure Time Gifting Event we know each child's name, age and gender, we try to bring  what we think each child might want.  We always bring more Sweet Dream Bags than children, that way the last child thru the door still has a wonderful selection.  We met a 6 year old girl that was just thrilled that she found a "Superman"--she grabbed that Sweet Dream Bags and just hugged it as hard as she could!!  She said she just loves Superman -- he helps people and he is kind and strong and  Superman can fly!  Once she saw that Superman Bag there was no way she was going to look at any more bags---she found the one she loved!!!  We try to guess what the children might want -- but sometimes they surprise us and that is why we are so thankful that each child has the opportunity to choose their very own Sweet Dream Bag---just to see the excitement and how they know when they find "just the perfect bag"-- it is priceless!!!!

Small Crib Bedding

For over 4 years now it has been mostly one wonderful, loving, caring woman in our church who has been making the Baby Quilts for the Small Crib Bedding Bags!!!  She sews everyday and provides us with about 8 baby quilts each month.  In addition to the Baby Quilt we add a Fitted Crib Sheet, small Fleece Blanket and a beginner toothbrush (so they are ready for that first tooth!)  As we look to this new year we know that our demand for Baby Bedding is only going to grow and there is just no way our wonderful friend can keep up with the demand.  So if you love to quilt or sew -- we would love to explain the size and the method she uses to create such a blessing for these babies and their moms.  A little story from a young mom in Pueblo--as she looked at all the beautiful Baby Sweet Dream Bags that she had to choose from for her soon to be born baby girl---she just welled up in tears and said, "How could anyone that doesn't even know me put this much work and love into something for my baby that is coming.  I think I will just un-zip the bag just a little each day and let some of the love out---Oh how wonderful to know someone loves and cares about us this much--my family has disowned me and I just feel so alone --- now I have this gift of love!!!"   If you have the time to sew and make such a difference in many lives!!!  Call Susie at -303-507-2098.

Please Check Treasure Time Events

It is our desire that each child coming to a Treasure Time Gifting Event will have  their very own, personal, volunteer to spend time with them and help them choose their new beautiful bedding and then to take the time to sit and listen or read their special, personalized booklet about them being the Treasure and their new bed being the Treasure Chest!  We need your help--as you see a Treasure Time Event that will work into your busy schedule we would love for you to email Susie@sweetdreaminabag.org to let us know that you can help with the event.  You will be blessed and the time spent with the child will make a difference in your life also!  We have a Treasure Time coming up on Feb. 12 starting at 7 pm at Decatur Place and another on Feb. 18 starting at 6 pm at Humbolt Archdiocesan Apts.  There are addresses and other events listed in the newsletter and there are always updates on the Website: www.sweetdreaminabag.org  Event Calendar  as agencies schedule their events.  Please take some time and check out the times and dates and then email us if you can help!!! You will make a difference in a child's life!!!
