From Human Resources

Great Things Happen When You Live United
When one area thrives, we all thrive. United Way of Pickens County creates opportunities for everyone to live a better life by focusing on three key building blocks—EDUCATION, income, and basic needs. View the 2014-2015 United Way of Pickens County information brochure to see how you can partner with United Way to support area programs and agencies. This support isn’t always through financial giving; you can also serve as a volunteer or as an advocate.

Pledge Form
SWU encourages its employees to prayerfully consider a financial gift to United Way of Pickens County. This may be a one-time gift or by giving through the convenience of a payroll deduction. Simply print out the pledge form and complete it to make your donation. At the bottom of the form, you may select an area of need where you would like your contribution to be focused—education, financial stability, or basic needs. See below for designation individual agencies. Completed pledge forms may be sent to Dana Frost, Human Resources, SWU Box 1957 or dfrost@swu.edu.

Individual Donor Choice Form
SWU employees live throughout the state and even in other states. The individual donor choice form is for anyone who would like to designate their funds to another United Way (give where you live) or to designate funds go to a specific agency that United Way of Pickens County funds (e.g., Red Cross, Helping Hands, Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers Big Sisters, etc.). The list of funded agencies is in the brochure. United Way of Pickens County does not take open designations as it is their policy to benefit nonprofits and funded agencies before it can accept funds designated for them.

If you have any questions about making a donation to United Way, about funded agencies, please contact Dana Frost, director of human resources at ext. 5004 or email dfrost@swu.edu.
