The 8th pan African regional conference of Education International will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 2nd to 6th of February 2015.

The Network General Assembly Meeting 2015, which will take place on the 20th of July in Ottawa (CANADA),  will be preceded by workshops enabling people to share experience and collectively define the Network's actions for 2015-2019. Its key words are: interactive, public-spirited and young.
 
The success of the international survey « The occupational health of education professionals » carried out by the Network is growing:  we now have nearly 2,500 participants from 21 countries. The survey is STILL ONLINE ON OUR WEBSITE, and available on paper. Please share it in your networks !

 
NEWS FROM OUR MEMBERS
GAMBIA: In the last few months a great deal has been written about Ebola. The Gambian Teachers Union leadership therefore committed itself to set up a prevention strategy through communication. Funding was provided for by the parent body Education International.
 
BURKINA FASO: Our project to create a mutual insurance fund within the framework of the country’s Universal Health Coverage is back on track thanks to the signing of a framework agreement by the new Minister for Civil Service and Social Protection. The mutual fund will not only be an essential means of providing education professionals with health coverage, it will also contribute to the extending health insurance to the whole of the population.
 
The Education and Solidarity Network is an international non-profit association, founded in 2009 by Education International (EI), Mutuelle Générale de l'Education Nationale (MGEN, France) and International Association for Mutual-Benefit Societies (AIM). The Network promotes health and well-being for the education community.
