You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.
(And speak from the heart to be heard.)

General Manager

It is certainly an exciting time at the club with all areas of the club going through positive changes for the 2015 season and far into the future.  The Board and staff are working hard to make our 100th year a memorable one.

We can hardly wait for the season to begin.  Each department will be forwarding you information and news about the club.  Please start regularly opening your emails from Orchard Hills.

We all have much to be proud of this year.  I think everybody is aware of the golf course work but now we are already one week into the clubhouse renovation!

Feel free to stop out to the club anytime to see the progress.

There is NO GOING BACK NOW!

Golf Course

Things are going well on the golf course.  We are working on our winter maintenance program for the course equipment.  It is going as expected so far.

We will continue some tree work on the nicer days this winter.  The tree project will be ongoing for the entire year.  As always our goal is not to disrupt play on the course.

We are trying to help with some work on the clubhouse project if and when needed.

We really look forward to the challenge of opening the new greens as soon as possible.  As always it will be weather related.  The better the weather is the sooner the grass will mature.

Looking forward to a great 2015!!

Clubhouse

Happy winter,
The club is in the middle of its renovation, it’s exciting seeing all the changes that are happening. I really can’t wait to see how it all looks when it’s done.
As for the rest of the club, you will see some new faces, some of our staff from last year have moved on to other endeavors. I look forward to the staff we are putting together. We are looking to rebuild the menu from ground up and we are very excited about rolling out some what we have come up with.

Hope you all have a great winter, stay warm and see you soon

Pro Shop

It looks like winter is almost over.  Well not quite but it has been mild at times.  The golf course looks beautiful when it is has snow and gorgeous when you can see the grass.  We have a dozen or so deer calling the golf course home this winter.  They are making trails all over the place.

Orchard Hills is 100 years old this year.  It is one of the oldest in the area.   It is going to be a great year with the clubhouse renovation and the new greens complexes.  The club house is coming along very well and the plans look amazing, I am very excited about all the new changes and enjoy watching the progress.

I will post the Golf Events Calendar on the website by next week and also send it out in email form.  It is very important that you try to open all the emails from the club.  It is our best way to communicate with you.  I promise, I will not send anything that isn’t important.

If you’re thinking about getting new clubs this year, give me a call and we can get you custom fit, right here at the golf shop.  I have the ability to get almost any product that you would like and the service you expect.  Tell all your friends.

If you have any interest in getting your game into shape this winter here are my two options for indoor instruction. Option #1 is here at OHCC.  It is my preference to do them here.  I have great video equipment, lots of gadgets, and a great view, however I cannot track ball flight.  After 20 years, I have a pretty good idea where it is going. You will be able to hit more balls at the shop and it is BYOB.

Option #2 is at a new indoor facility, Granger Golf Club at Toscana Park.  They have high tech indoor Foresight Golf Simulators. This equipment can give you more data about your swing, than you could possibly need.  It does have a range option that can be used to show ball flight which is nice.

I am not an employee of Granger Golf Club, I just have the permission, as a PGA Professional, to bring students in and use their technology. Lessons here cost more

If you have any interest please give me a call.
