What could you achieve in your career this year if you weren't held back by fear?

Fear is a normal part of life.  It’s a primal instinct and serves a purpose to warn us of danger to survival (the good old ‘fight or flight’ response).  In today’s world however, when the response is often unreasonable to the fear, is it limiting your confidence and ultimately your success? By not taking action and tackling assumptions around your fears, are you placing limitations on yourself and your career?

In my latest blog
"New Year + no fear = your career!"  I have outlined 5 practical questions to get you thinking about your biggest fear and how to overcome it.

A year from now, you will wish you had started today.” – Karen Lamb

It constantly amazes me how many people underestimate the importance of a personal brand, with many thinking the ‘concept’ is not relevant to them. Does this sound like you?

Your personal brand is a combination of your personality, attitude, values, experience, reputation and even your appearance.  Essentially, it is what people think when they hear your name – what you’re known for and how people experience.

These days careers can be chaotic with the level of uncertainty that’s underpinned by constant reminders that the country’s budget is not in great shape. It’s certainly a nervous time.

The question for those affected is: can you stay in great professional shape, get competitive and ensure that you are in peak form for this race?  Just like running a marathon, your competitive edge comes down to experience, knowledge, insight and expert coaching.
