Congratulations to Robin Blakemore on her commissioning as a minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Alabama-Northwest Florida.

After meeting with Robin, receiving several recommendations, considering her preparation for ministry and her personal qualifications, the Commissioning and Ordination subcommittee of the regional Committee on the Ministry has issued a commission for Robin’s service with First Christian Church as Minister of Discipleship.

John Mobley, regional minister, led the commissioning service during worship on January 25.  At the conclusion of the service, Robin was presented with a commissioning certificate, book, stole, and communion set.  We are proud of Robin and look forward to her continued ministry among us!

Come one and come all to
 The Adventure Nook Circus!
When: Tomorrow
What Time: 12:30 p.m.

***Joining our circus this year is Ms. Fran's two year old class, who will be giving a special performance.
And Ms. Vickie's toddler class will be staring in "Parade of Toddler's"...too cute!!
Parents, grandparents, family and friends are all invited to attend!
Lent is a special time in the life of the Church, a time to come together collectively and ask “How is Jesus calling us to live? What is Jesus calling us to do? Where is Jesus calling us to go?” It is also an opportunity for each of us individually to search within for the ways we need to change. During this season many are looking for ways to draw closer to God. We’d like to invite you to join our Wednesday evening LIVE L.I.F.E. LIVE LENT series. We will begin gathering at 5:30 for dinner, have a brief time of communion each week and then move into small groups. Small groups will conclude at 6:45. There are several choices for small groups; take a look we’d love to journey with you this Lenten season. We will have childcare for children through fifth grade. We encourage youth to sign up for a small group. Sign ups for classes will begin Sunday, February 1.
