A VOW TO FIGHT

Jeremy Jungling was a newlywed, running coach and in the best shape of his life. When he learned he had colon cancer, he was stunned. Here are a few of the most popular images from the past week on our Growing Bolder Facebook page. Collectively, these images have been viewed by more than 4.5 million people! We love sharing messages of hope, inspiration and possibility with our Facebook community.

Take the example of soon-to-be 98-year-old Edna (bottom row), who hits the gym hard with her trainers in Phoenix. Edna started working out in her late 80s and now works out twice a week doing squats, lunges, pushups, and stability ball exercises. In the picture above, she's working out with trainer Caitlin Turner. She also works out with Anton Mackey and told Mackey that the secret to staying young is "never let yourself get weak."

Messages like this aren't just "cute" -- they're powerful. Check out some of the comments we received after posting it:
  • "She is now my motivation to stay active and exercise." -- Patricia in Wisconsin
  • "I started downhill ski racing when I was 50 and now at 83 it is paying huge dividends." -- Betty in Canmore, Alberta
  • "I started at 61 taking exercise seriously and at the time,I was using a walker. Now I am 62, no more walker and still a long way to go since I have to lose 100 pounds but since my health has improved, this is my year to get rid of the weight and maybe next year been able to run a half marathon! Why not?" -- Carmen in Tampa, Florida
  • "OK, God's trying to tell me something. Earlier today I saw two different stories, one about a 90-something woman who is sharp and loves to shop and another about a painter who is 105 and can tell you about every country he's painted!! I need a lifestyle makeover." -- Katherine in Dallas, Texas
Does your life need a makeover, too? Let us show you how fun it can be to make positive and healthy changes.
