others closer to God.
We had a great time feeding hungry people at Casa Maria last Saturday! Our next date to serve is Saturday, February 21!

The Great Envelope Fundraiser Continues This Sunday!

Just how far is Orlando? 2019 miles! But it’s a short distance for our youth to travel for a life-changing spiritual event with thousands of other Methodist youth. YOU can support our trip by picking up a numbered envelope!. THIS SUNDAY, look for the wall of envelopes in the entrance to the sanctuary and in Fellowship Hall. Each envelope will be numbered. Simply choose an envelope and put the amount of the number in the envelope as a donation!
You can also make your donation online. Go here and scroll down to the box that is labelled "Other Restricted Fund" and enter your amount. Beside that box, type "Youth Fundraiser" in the box.
And start saving your change, especially quarters, for a special collection in February! You can track our progress, and see a new message from our youth every 100 miles closer we get to our goal. Look for the maps in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall.

"I Walk This Path of Life"
Try this prayer and guided meditation by Christine Sine here.
"I’ve noticed something about the parents of teens and twenty-somethings who are high functioning and healthy. I’m talking about young adults who you sit and talk to and wonder how they got so wise, self-controlled and winsome. I’ve noticed they all have parents who have a distinct, unique, and rare quality about them."

Online Giving

Did you know that giving to support God's work through Catalina UMC is as simple as clicking here? It is!

There is MUCH MORE!

There is a good online devotional here.
Read about everything going on at Catalina in the Catalina News!

By the way, church news and church event photos are always welcome!
Send submissions to richard@catalinamethodist.org by Tuesday noon. We intentionally keep this email brief (so we cannot include everything) and we intentionally keep it about Catalina (so, please, no requests to announce outside events). If you are submitting a photo, send it to richard.lee.jones@gmail.com (Gmail works better with large attachments like photos).

Spiritual Gifts Discovery is now ONLINE!

You can take the Gifts Assessment and begin the process of getting involved with God's work here at Catalina, all on the church website!  Go here to get started!

This Sunday is Communion Sunday at Catalina, and our sermon theme is "Open Table", also dealing with communion. In honor of this theme, here are two videos by Chuck giving us insight into Holy Communion. Watch here and here.
