CONNECTING WITH GOD IN A NEW WAY:
         LET’S CREATE PRAYER BEADS TOGETHER

Did you know that the word bead derives from bede, which means prayer?  While perhaps not a daily part of everyone’s faith life together, the connection between prayer and beads is timeless.

Perhaps most commonly recognized as a rosary in the Catholic tradition, Prayer beads are actually an integral part of many faith traditions ranging from Buddhism to Judaism to many Christian traditions.
Prayer Beads
As part of our year long exploration of prayer and relationship with God and each other, ECLC’s Prayer Partners invite the whole congregation to join us in learning about this tradition together on Sunday during the Adult Forum.  We’ll explore the various meanings, experience new forms of prayer, and create our own prayer beads to take home.  Prayer beads can provide a tangible reminder and guide for prayer, or simply make a wonderful gift to remind someone you are praying for them.
